Never give up on yourself …

There are times that everyone goes through some piece of life.

Whether it is getting another surgical procedure, seeing another doctor, having a test at school or — God forbid — dealing with a bully, we all have those times that are just too much to bear.

Yet I want to offer all of us a chance to breathe, hope and look at the other side of the picture.

It’s pretty dark right now … yet sunshine is about to break through.

Give yourself the gift of smiling today.

Every minute counts … and you are loved.

Blessings,

Joe

“CleftCast” — Mental Abuse in the Cleft/Craniofacial Community …

Hey friends … Yes, I know I have been lax in keeping this blog updated.

So beyond posting the “CleftCast” #podcast links here each week, I will commit to writing one new, fresh blog post each week throughout the fall. I’ll get a writing schedule going and, well, away we go!

This week, I talk about mental abuse. Instead of writing a lot of words about it, I will just say that — to me — mental abuse is truly horrible and sad.

With that being said, my hope is that this “CleftCast” will help anyone dealing with mental abuse issues. Remember: I am not a licensed counselor, mental health professional or all of the above. These are only my life experiences and observations of others from which I am basing this #podcast around.

I hope you find solace in it. This fall, “CleftCast” is going to be talking about taboo subjects … the ones that “no one is supposed to talk about.” Honestly, many people within the cleft/craniofacial community have things come up in their lives that no one will listen to them about. Let me hear from you! Drop me a topic suggestion. It can just be a topic title … if you want to get deeper and into more detail, then that’s your choice.

Download “CleftCast” through iTunes or Blog Talk Radio. It’s free.

Every minute counts … and you are loved.

Blessings, peace, love and light,

Joe
